Chief Technologist & Solutions Architect

Position Description:

Excentium is looking for a Chief Technologist & Solutions Architect with Health-IT experience across the VA and DHA as well as other DoD and Federal Civilian agencies. The ideal candidate will have a wide range of capability and experience across the Information Technology discipline. This role involves working with Business Development and Capture resources as lead creator of technical content in support of customer solutions, and proposal development. Experience developing solutions in response to Federal and Commercial customer requirements/needs is required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership, vision and direction in implementing enterprise information technology practices.
• Extensive solutions-oriented experience is needed with a comprehensive understanding of Cybersecurity, Cloud technology, Network Services, and emerging technologies to deliver true value to our customers.
• Guide multidisciplinary teams through development of complex solutions in a very fast-paced and demanding environment.
• Work with vendors throughout the industry to evaluate upcoming products and determine their feasibility/value to customers
• Review timeframes and budget

• Lead the architecture, design, and development effort for projects and work to identify and manage technical risk
• Support innovation efforts and identify technology and solution roadmaps to improve mission capabilities
• Act as a technical liaison to clients and executive leadership, and as the escalation point for technical issues
• Advise clients regarding the establishment of technology and acquisition strategies
• Mentor other technical personnel, and build technical collateral for the business and our customers

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer engineering or a related discipline
• Experience with technology relative to industry such as; .Net, C#, SQL Server, Oracle DB, MongoDB, Solr, jQuery, Angular, AWS, Azure, IIS, GitHub, Grunt/Gulp, Node.JS, Java/C
• Minimum of 10+ years of relevant industry experience
• Intimate knowledge of systems architecture and operations
• System integration (hardware, software, network, server, storage, virtualization and database)
• Research and development virtualization options for servers, networks, storage and client systems
• Demonstrated experience in developing system architectures and/or solution roadmaps
• Working knowledge of process frameworks such as ISO 20000 and ITIL is desired

Desired Certifications such as:

• ITIL V3
• AWS or Azure Certifications
• Data Center Virtualization
• VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP)
• CISSP
