We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer in Falls Church, Virginia on a large scale DoD Medical project.  This position will support Information Technology (IT) activities for a military medical infrastructure contract that assists the government with cutting edge engineering solutions that will sustain a robust virtualized Cloud Computing environment.

The successful candidate must be an experienced Systems Engineer capable of providing implementation Enterprise Technologies within the MHS managed C&CI.  An understanding of the Military Health System and DoD policy is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop technical solutions, EBOMS, briefs, highly technical documentation and have an ability to communicate technical information at high levels to a broad audience.

• Develop engineering and process lifecycle documentation to support an enterprise solution.

• Develop technical documentation and briefings to support the addition of virtualization technologies to the customer's infrastructure.

• Conduct technical evaluations of Cloud Computing technologies and define the technical requirements for adding such technologies to the customer’s infrastructure.

• Define technical procedures for migrating applications within a customer's Cloud Computing environment.

• Work with government, military service, and other MHS stakeholders to determine, document, and analyze the requirements, restrictions, and issues that are involved with supporting virtualization and enterprise technologies.

Qualifications

• At least 5 -10 years of Systems Engineering experience related to Enterprise Service Bus technologies and the deployment, management and sustainment thereof

• In-depth knowledge of DoD Systems Engineering and how to successfully implement technologies within the lifecycle

• Comprehensive technical writing and verbal communication, interpersonal, facilitation, presentation, quantitative, analytical, organizational, and follow-up skills

• Ability to be involved with multiple projects and interact with multiple teams

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (CS), Electric Engineering (EE), and/or equivalent technical degree preferred but equivalent experience will be considered

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
