Description
Excentium, Inc. is a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) that provides Information Security Engineering; Information Assurance (IA), management, and Certification and Accreditation (C&A) services to government and commercial organizations.
We have an opportunity for Middle to Senior level IA Analysts to support our customers in the San Diego, CA area.  The chosen candidates will be responsible for ensuring the security and C&A of health information systems and medical devices developed by corporations that specialize in the development of medical systems/solutions for its Government and Commercial customers.   C&A efforts will be conducted in accordance with DIACAP and NIST/FISMA guidelines.
The IA Analyst must be able to demonstrate expert knowledge in Information Assurance technologies and provide sufficient work history to demonstrate experience with complex enterprise systems and Information Assurance within the Federal Government.  The Information Assurance Analyst will be knowledgeable of, and experienced in the implementation of DoD and Federal security and IA requirements as outlined in DoDI 8500.2, NIST 800-53, and DISA STIGs and will have experience with DoD Ports, Protocols, and Services (PPS), PKI, and Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) policies and standards.

Responsibilities include:
 
  • Experience Implementing Information Assurance for large enterprise systems in accordance with DIACAP guidelines.
  • Experience working with security architecture, design, and implementation
  • Extensive knowledge drafting C&A artifact documents and creation of executive packages.
  • Experience performing risk assessments in accordance with NIST SP 800-30
  • Apply INFOSEC best practice and principles to network protocols, architectures, equipment, services, standards and technology.
  • Communicate IA Program Status to management when appropriate
  • Develop project plans and schedules outlining work activities necessary to successfully complete IA –related initiatives and C&A efforts.
  • Ensure IA Requirements are incorporated in system development and sustainment activities.
  • Skilled in office automation software from Microsoft: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Outlook, Visio, and Project.
Qualifications and Requirements:
 
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification or other DOD Directive 8570 compliant professional certification strongly preferred (CISM, GSLC, etc.).
  • Fully Qualified Navy Validation certification desired
  • Extensive working knowledge of NIST and DoD information system security guidance, processes, and methodologies.
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, will be subject to background investigation, and must meet the requirements necessary to obtain an IT II position of public trust adjudication.
  • 4 - 6 years of experience required
