JOB DESCRIPTION:
Excentium is seeking to hire a Senior Cyber Security Specialist to support one of our customers in the National Capital Region (NCR). The applicant must demonstrate strong knowledge and experience in Information Assurance technologies and complex military command, control, communications, computers, and Health-IT products and solutions, and the Information Assurance issues surrounding their integration. The applicant should have proven experience developing and harmonizing Information Assurance policy and strategies, and should be capable of identifying and recommending acceptable levels of technical and operational risk related to Information Assurance relative to a Military hospital environment.
The chosen candidate will lead Certification efforts and will coordinate accreditation activities. The candidate will identify daily tasks and communicate scheduled progress and status reports to the Senior Customer leadership. The candidate will identify any and all risks and ensure their swift mitigation. The candidate will review, enhance, and/or develop policies and procedures required to establish and maintain compliance with Federal Law, and National, DoD and Defense Health Agency (DHA) Directives, and Instructions..
Required Demonstrated Experience:
The Candidate must possess a current U.S. Secret or above Security Clearance.

Required Demonstrated Experience:
- Strong Understanding of DoD IA implementation and Defense-in-Depth principles
- Experience with developing IA strategies and implementation plans
- Experience analyzing IA/security requirements, architectures, solutions implementations, and developing Gap Analysis and recommendations
- At least five years of IA experience working within one or more DoD organizations
- A minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical discipline is required. Comparable work experience may substitute for education
- Skilled in Microsoft Office automation software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook
- Working within a Military Medical Treatment Facility
- Working within a multi-vendor environment
- At least five (5) years of IA experience working within one or more DoD or Federal organizations
- Understanding of the relationships between DoD 8500.02 and NIST 800-53
- DoD Test & Evaluation (T&E) process
