Excentium, Inc. is a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) that provides Information Security Engineering; Information Assurance (IA), management, and Certification and Accreditation (C&A) services to government and commercial organizations.
We have an opportunity for a Cyber Security Policy Specialists to support one of our Defense customers in the National Capital Region.
The chosen candidate will work with Government personnel and other contractors to provide technical support in the area of programmatic analyses, studies, briefings, IA training and certification implementation support, and technical reviews and analysis of National, Department of Defense (DoD), Joint Staff, other federal agencies’ IA policies as they relate to Army level policy. They will provide technical support to the Government in the definition of actions and processes required to transition to and comply with the DoD and national level policies. In this position the Cyber Security Policy Specialist will apply best business practices in assessing IA needs and reporting, which encompasses managing and organizing data sufficiently to report proposed actionable changes. HE/She will provide technical support to the Government in the incorporation of policy into appropriate regulations and pamphlets; in drafting, reviewing, revising and delivering IA policy documents to the Cyber Directorate, and in responding to DA Staff, AC, ASCC, DRU, PEO, and field units’ oral and written queries regarding IA policy
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related hard technical discipline is preferable
- Security+ professional certification.
- Experience Supporting ARMY is strongly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of NIST and DoD information system security guidance, processes, and methodologies
- Experience in mobility
- Experience in process and policy development
- Experience in Supply Chain Risk Management
- IA Experience as relates to the supply chain to include hardware and software
- Continuous Monitoring IA knowledge and applicability
- Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, will be subject to background investigation, and must have a current DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Candidate must be willing to travel (less than 10%).
