Excentium, Inc. is a veteran owned small business that provides Information Security Engineering; Information Assurance (IA), management, and Certification and Accreditation (C&A) services to government and commercial organizations.
We have an opportunity for a Sr. Information Assurance (IA) Analyst/Manager to support one of our customers in the San Diego, CA area. The chosen candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and Certification and Accreditation (C&A) of health information systems developed by a corporation that specializes in enterprise-wide clinician documentation and electronic medical record solutions for its Government and Commercial customers. C&A efforts will be conducted in accordance with the DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP).
The applicant must be able to demonstrate expert knowledge in Information Assurance technologies and provide sufficient work history to demonstrate experience with complex enterprise systems and Information Assurance. The applicant should have proven experience documenting system security features IAW the DoDI 8500.2. Also, the applicant should be capable of identifying acceptable mitigations when moving large enterprise systems through the phases of DIACAP.
Experience:
- Experience implementing the DIACAP for large enterprise systems
- Experience working with security architecture, design, and implementation
- Experience leading a small team
- Experience communicating with Sr. leadership
Responsibilities include:
- Review, enhance, and/or develop internal policies and procedures required to establish and maintain the client’s compliance with DOD Directives and Federal Regulations.
- Develop project plans and schedules outlining work activities necessary to successfully complete IA-related initiatives and C&A efforts.
- Communicate IA Program status to Sr. Leadership
- Ensure IA requirements are incorporated in system development and sustainment activities.
- Support all IA reporting requirements to include IAVAs, PPS, INFOCONs, and FRAGOs
- Manage security engineer and analyst resources
- The applicant will be skilled in office automation software from Microsoft: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Visio, and Project.
Candidate must have at least seven years of IA experience with one or more DoD organizations. Experience within the Military Health System is preferable.
A minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related hard technical discipline is required. Significant work experience may substitute for education.
Candidate must possess one or more of the following certifications: CISSP, GIAC, CISM, CISA or equivalent.
Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen, will be subject to background investigation, and must meet the requirements necessary to obtain an IT II position of public trust adjudication.
