We have an opportunity for a Project Manager to support one of our Federal at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda Md.
MINIMUM CLEARANCE LEVEL: Active DOD Secret Clearance

Position Description:

The position is located in the Commander's Staff/deputy assistant chief of staff in charge of Unified Coordination Program office of the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) at Bethesda, Maryland. There are formal internal procedures and administrative controls and it is sufficiently complex that requires continuous attention and tracking of construction projects that are in progress and planned. Primary contacts are with military and civilian management officials within the military health system of the Department of Defense (DoD). The Walter Reed Medical Center has significant construction project coming up over the next seven years called the Medical Center Addition and Alteration (MCAA) Project deputy assistant chief of staff in charge of Unified Coordination Program. The plan is demolishing one-third of the medical center while we maintain 100 percent functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides coordination clinic moves, monitoring and reporting on day to day activities and work on construction activities.
  • Develop standard, recurring and specialized reports and Review reports to provide information to management inquiries.
  • Review all provided presentation documentation on a regular basis for accuracy and updating.
  • Directs, manages and coordinates with the functional authority for planning, organization, control and integration to ensure completion of projects.
  • Track schedule of projects to ensure progress to deadlines. Prepares detailed reports and performs work measurement, methods and procedures, utilization, and benchmarking, to improve processes in direct correlation to WRNMMC's ACoS oversight of military construction.
  • Develop methods for automating various administrative reports containing data having multiple uses.
  • Respond to routine and non-technical requests for information such as status of reports, suspense dates for matters requiring compliance, and similar information readily available from files.

Experience:

  • Five years relevant experience and demonstrated ability to supervise, plan and lead technical/engineering teams in multiple, complex task assignments involving diverse engineering disciplines
  • Military Treatment Facility , Facility Management experience a must.
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to present and apply professional knowledge with competence.
  • Knowledge of the major issues, program goals and objectives, work processes and administrative operations of the organization.
  • Skill in developing new or modified work methods and/or administrative procedures, and process improvements.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, i.e. Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to analyze data and/or problems and recognizes significant aspects to reach objective conclusions and present recommendations effectively.
  • Demonstrate skill in performing oral and written presentations in a clear and concise manner.
  • Knowledge of Military Operations and structure a plus

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • PMP Preferred
  • Active DOD Clearance: Secret
