We have an opportunity for an Test Automation Lead to support one of our Federal customers in the Falls Church Va. area.

Position Description:

Excentium is seeking an experienced
Test Automation Lead that has a background of working closely with other members of a technical development test team and DHA software systems. The Test Automation Task Lead should be familiar with system lifecycle processes and with all aspects of software testing to include system, integration, and regression testing as required. The Test Automation Task Lead’s responsibilities will consist of analyzing requirements, performance testing of Defense Health Agency application systems, tracking discrepancies, and writing test plans and test reports. This position is responsible for the design, building, testing, and deploying of effective test automation solutions that detect defects and validate performance as part of the software development lifecycle.

This position will provide mission support including test engineering support and advice to government customers; attend technical working groups and configuration control boards; working with software development engineers, information assurance engineers, system administrators, and network engineers to troubleshoot and resolve functional deficiencies; provide technical assistance to operational testers performing evaluations. The tester is responsible for the analysis of user stories, testing applications, developing test plans, test cases and test scripts, and evaluating test results to determine compliance with test plans and established business processes.


Responsibilities:

  • Use Test Automation skill set to identify tools required for performance testing
  • Develop test plan, to include identifying key performance indicators (KPI), and ensure team stays focused on the KPIs
  • Remove impediments for testers
  • Utilize test automation skill set to enforce Web Content Accessibility Guidelines technical standards
  • Performs all administration, management, configuration, testing, and integration tasks related to content creation, maintenance, and administration tasks.
  • Validate software requirements through functional, usability, performance, security, stress, compatibility, internationalization, ad-hoc, and regression testing
  • Develop, implement, and execute standard procedures for the administration, content management, change management, version/patch management, and lifecycle management.
  • Conduct test case reviews and ensure all test activities are properly executed and documented according to our client's standards.
  • Configure hardware and software test equipment as required for the test environment and assist with troubleshooting issues.
  • Complete test requirements for all milestones, and software and documentation deliverables.
  • Installation, setup, administration, and troubleshooting MS SQL and associated databases

Minimum Education/Experience:

Bachelor's Degree or 5 relevant years’ experience related to job responsibilities may be substituted in lieu of degree. 5 years of test automation experience. Equivalent Military training achieved in military technical schools qualifying for technical Military Occupational Specialties may be substituted. Commercial certifications and/or specific system experience may also be substituted. Examples of commercial certifications include: Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in UNIX, Oracle, and/or SAS, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), and/or professional certificates received from accredited institutions or Military training. Experience with evaluation and compliance of DoD IT systems comply with DoD/DHA enterprise-level standards.

    • Demonstrated experience managing Automation and Performance testing efforts
    • Experience leading an automation testing team
    • Test Automation, Web Testing, Application Testing
    • Working in a Test Team environment with multiple systems under test
    • Conduct Independent Verification and Validation, Regression, functional tests
    • Develop test scenarios, concepts and strategies
    • Author test plans, detailed test procedures
    • Interpret system requirements and create testable requirements
    • Create test measures; critical operational issue, operational capabilities, measures of evaluation, measures of performance
    • Create data collection forms, collect test data and perform data analysis
    • Prepare Quick Look briefings and final test reports
    • Document deficiencies and update status in DT&E reports programs
    • Prepare and present briefings (Test Readiness Review, Quick Look, deficiency status)
    • Develop test schedules to include task lines, resource requirements, dependencies, time schedules and critical path
    • Experience with Military Health Service (MHS) or VA (Veteran’s Administration) healthcare applications, systems, and terminology
