We have an opportunity for a Program Manager to support one of our Federal customers in the Charleston, SC area.

MINIMUM CLEARANCE LEVEL: Secret

Position Description:

The Program Manager (PM) is responsible for the success of the overall contract including the day-to-day management of personnel and all technical work performed on the program. The PM provides management oversight of all program personnel. The PM develops long-term and strategic objectives to ensure that end-user requirements will be satisfied in future years of the program. The PM serves as the primary interface with the customer and other program functional areas such as contracts, subcontracts, project control, and personnel security. The PM ensures program deliverables and schedules are implemented in a timely manner; provides supervision, training, and direction to staff; and, serves as the single point of contact for all customer issues or concerns.

The Program Manager will leverage their educational and applied work experience to help streamline planning, reporting, as well as identify process improvements opportunities within the business to support the larger cybersecurity team in protecting customers. Strategic thinking, maturity, negotiation skills, and the ability to influence are essential to success in this role.

The Program Manager supports the execution of cybersecurity elements across global programs and services. Program execution includes working with government leadership, and Stakeholders and a variety of cybersecurity, IT, and engineering technical resources to identify and plan physical and cybersecurity work to meet and exceed program initiatives. The program deliverables include, but are not limited to, creating work breakdown structures (WBS), project plans, project cost estimates, project recommendations, status reports, and executive presentations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects with broad scope, ambiguity, and high degree of difficulty
  • Own and drive projects and deliverables across various teams within cybersecurity and throughout program life cycle
  • Demonstrate proficiency in a wide range of cybersecurity technologies, embedded security, and platforms
  • Expert with a high level of analytical ability where problems are typically unusual and difficult – gather and interpret complex qualitative or quantitative data
  • Strong working knowledge of cybersecurity principles and elements
  • Strong understanding of global program structure, launch plan and timing, and global program ownership
  • Anticipate problems, productively escalate issues, make trade-off decisions, and balance business needs versus technical
  • Develop and deliver high-quality documentation for technical audiences and non-technical audiences

  • Demonstrates excellent judgment, discretion and sensitivity when dealing with confidential information
  • Maintain a high degree of professionalism when dealing with internal customers and senior leaders
  • Knowledge of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Excellent communication and writing skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Physical Sciences, Information Security, Mathematics, Management Information Systems, Business or Health Sciences Related Field.
  • Eight (8) or more years of Program/Project Management experience, to include: Technology Assessments, Systems Design, Systems Analysis, Programmatic Support, Acquisition Planning, and Budget Planning.
  • Experience supporting Government/Industry technical projects
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or another project management certification desired
  • Fifteen (15) years of technical experience in support of Cybersecurity or computer network defense programs to include: Equipment Support, System Support, and Programmatic Support.
  • Familiarity with Defense Health Agency, a plus
