Excentium has an opportunity for a Technical Writer/Editor  to support one of our Federal customers in the Atlantic City New Jersey area.

MINIMUM CLEARANCE LEVEL: Public Trust or DOD Secret
CITIZENSHIP: US Citizenship
LOCATION: Atlantic City, NJ.

Position Description:
This Technical Writer/Editor position is in support of the design, documentation, and development of Standard Operating Procedures, Test Reports, and ISS system engineering efforts for unclassified and classified documents. Provides support to read and analyze highly technical materials and to create presentations of that information. This may be specifications, drawings, user manuals, presentations, reports, or training documents. The series is intended for use on NAS systems under ES and on IT systems under

Responsibilities: Support for the security engineering efforts undertaken through:

  • Development of program documentation for security requirements for new systems
  • Enhancement of security requirements for existing systems to meet new threats,
  • Development of test plans and technical results documentation,
  • Assistance in the development of documentation related to FAA Security Authorization activities for FAA capabilities, and other related documents
  • Development of Standard Operating Procedures

Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft Project
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools
  • Currently hold a Security Level Clearance of Public Trust or SECRET
  • Experience with FAA Configuration Management process and documentation requirements

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, journalism, history, political science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • 5 years or more of relevant experience.
  • Experience with FAA Configuration Management process and documentation requirements a plus
